Thomas "Ironman" Navarro

Thomas Navarro, age 6, went to be with the Lord after a two year and three month struggle with brain cancer. Thomas was a little boy who enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed his pet cat, dog, fish and Tommy the turtle. He loved his brothers Patrick (4) and Robert (18), they were his best friends. Thomas became a national figure in the fight for patient rights and medical freedom.

His story was told around the world. His courage was noted and admired by many of our country's leaders including President Bush, who on a number of occasions spent time talking with Thomas about his courage and his fight against cancer. Thomas' death is a tragic loss and he will be missed by many.

Thomas is survived by his parents, Jim and Donna Navarro, brothers Robert and Patrick, sister Marisa and grandfather Bernie Miszler. He was also survived by those who supported Thomas and fought at his side, they are Thomas' extended family.
